Do You take Insurance?

I am in Network with Cigna, Optum, United, and Aetna.  For those I am out of network, I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. For a small percentage they assist in filing all the paperwork for you. Please ask if you have any questions.

What if I don't have insurance at all?

I believe that counseling should be accessible, so together we will figure out a sliding scale to assist.

Do I have the right to a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much my medical costs will be?

Under the law, health care providers, including mental health providers, need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

What do you think is the most important aspect to counseling?

I believe the most important part is our relationship, how we relate to each other, how comfortable you feel to be open and vulnerable.  If I can’t create that comfortable space, then you won’t feel heard or understood.
